Prof. Dr.-Ing. Günter Hohenberg

As the founder of the company, Prof. Hohenberg can look back on an unusually successful career.

After graduating in mechanical engineering from Graz University of Technology, he joined the car engine design department of the then Daimler-Benz AG in 1970. The main points of his work were: Design and layout of the Wankel engine, thermodynamics of the work process and measurement technology. In 1974, Prof Hohenberg completed his doctorate at the University of Stuttgart with the topic ‘Mixture formation in the Wankel engine’, followed in 1980 by his habilitation with the topic ‘Heat transfer in the diesel engine’ at the Institute for Internal Combustion Engines and Thermodynamics at Graz University of Technology. 1981 he joined AVL List GmbH, where he was most recently Head of Development for the entire electronics and measurement technology development. 1984 he was appointed Professor and Head of the Department of Combustion Engines at the Technical University of Darmstadt, where he worked on numerous research and development projects for the automotive industry until 2009. His work focused on the investigation of internal engine processes in diesel and petrol engines, engine electronics, engine measurement technology, test bench technology and development methodology.

Prof. Hohenberg also focuses on the simulation of the work process and the analysis and further development of alternative concepts such as hybrid drives as well as topics relating to the electrification of the powertrain. At IVD GmbH, Prof. Hohenberg is now making his wide range of experience available for working on powertrain topics.

Mag. Gudrun Beidl-Stangl

Mag. Gudrun Beidl-Stangl has been Managing Director of IVD Deutschland GmbH since August 2011.

Born in Mödling near Vienna in 1969, Mag. Gudrun Beidl-Stangl studied psychology at the University of Vienna from 1988 to 1994 and business administration at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration from 1990 to 1995. After graduating with a Master's degree, she began her professional career in 1995 at the University of Vienna, Institute for Applied Computer Science in the field of Human Computer Interface and Usability. In 1998, Mag. Gudrun Beidl-Stangl moved to the automotive industry to join AVL List GmbH in Graz as an organisational developer responsible for the design of global processes and in particular for digital communication and information. From 2001-2002, Mag. Beidl-Stangl completed an MDT management training course. A further move took Mag. Gudrun Beidl-Stangl to Magna Powertrain in Lannach, where as IT Manager she was responsible for the optimisation and further development of operational processes and their mapping in the IT systems. In addition to the purely technical side, the focus here was also on the interface between the specialist department and the IT system (Human Computer Interface).

Private
Mag. Gudrun Beidl-Stangl is married and has two children. In her free time, she enjoys reading, running and devoting as much time as possible to her great passion, sailing.
